Amita

Amita is a novel written fictionalizing the historical events of Kalinga war. In the preface of the novel, Yashpal says that "to support the efforts for world peace, I had to travel to Europe twice in three years.Naturally during this period (1954-56) whatever I wrote had the issues, the failure to achieve consensus on issues, policies became the backbone of the novel."
