Timeline

Not many Hindi writers are regularly translated into English. In the recent times, Geetanjali Shree is the only one whose works (especially novels) have been translated continuously in the last twenty years. Vinod Kumar Shukla’s most of the novels are now available in translation. The timeline shows when the originals have published and how many years it took for the novels to get translated into English. The major writers/novels by a writer translated into English are Premchand, Krishna Sobti, Krishna Baldev Vaid, Vinod Kumar Shukla and to an extent Nirmal Verma. This page only shows the author whose four or more than four novels have been translated.
